In order to serve Yang Ming's customers with a more convenient and
rapid way to get real-time schedules, we provide you with an
E-service named "Schedule" on Yang Ming web site. [Schedule]
service, displaying all possible routings, is easy for you to choose
your suitable sailing schedule. |
Q: Where can I get a detailed
arrangement for my desired routes?
A: Click on "Detailed Routing" of your selected schedule from the
[point to point search] results, you will see more detailed
information.

Q: Where can I get the long-term
schedule from the Yang Ming web site?
A: You can get long-term schedule from "Download Schedule".
Long-term schedules will be displayed on the Yang Ming web site
after picking up your preferred area and line service.

Q: Can I download an EDI schedule file?
A: Yes, You can. We provide an XML format EDI file that you can get
from Schedule Download. You can find the XML format for your
information.

Q: Is it possible for me to receive schedules regularly via
auto-mail?
A: Yes, you can. Please go to [Schedule Subscription].

Q: Can I update or cancel my preferred routes from "Schedule
Subscription"?
A: Yes, you can update or cancel your settings via "Schedule
Subscription" by yourself.

To help customers make booking easier and save telephone or fax
costs, Yang Ming provides this service on our web site. |
Q: Is the function available for all customers of Yang Ming?
A: Actually this function is only applied to authorized customers
who must be export shipper role and have Yang Ming's prior approval
after submitting a registration. An authorized ID and Password will
be assigned by Yang Ming for your booking on YM web site.

Q: How soon can I receive the booking confirmation from Yang Ming?
A: You will receive e-mail reply such as accept, decline or modified
status of your booking within 4 working hours. If negative, please
contact Yang Ming local office.

This service enables shipper or export forwarder to submit shipping instruction via Yang Ming website besides FAX and EDI channel.

Q: Can I save the unfinished shipping instruction as a draft and
continue to key in the data next time?
A: Yes, you can use the template to save your draft shipping
instruction.

B/L Print
This service enables customers to print Original B/L, Seaway Bill or
B/L copy directly on Yang Ming web site. It is a value-added service
and customers can receive the B/L faster without shipping costs.

Q: Can I edit the B/L content directly on Yang Ming website?
A: No, any amendment cannot be made through the web site at present.

Q: What should I do when the amendment has to be made?
A: If any amendment is needed before printing, please click the
hyperlink of BL NO. to leave your message in the comment column and
our local Doc. staff will contact you ASAP. Or please contact our
agent to send the amendment. However, once B/L has been printed with
any further change requested, you should surrender this B/L to our
local Documentation Department for the amendment.

Q: What kind of paper should I use to print out B/Ls?
A: For Original B/L, you should print it out on YM proprietary
Internet B/L form. Otherwise, the B/L will be invalid.
For Seaway B/L, and copy B/L you can use any plain A4/letter size
paper.

Q: What should I do if I have run out of Internet B/L forms?
A: You can ask for Internet B/L forms either log in "B/L Print" to
click "Order" button or contact local office.

Q: Why B/L image PDF file could not display on WEB?
A: We suggest three modes for this condition:
1:) Check PDF Reader software has installed.
2:) Check the firewall device/software. Then configure the firewall setting for Yang Ming domains and trusts.
3:) Logout and re-login to perform this service.
4:) If the download is still not working, please contact us via [Contact us].

B/L History
This service enables customers to view the content of their history
B/L on Yang Ming web site. This service is for customers to trace
the history B/L whenever there is necessity to do so.

Q: My company is a customs broker. Can I also access this function
for my customer?
A: Basically, this function is for party listed on B/L. Please have
your customer to Register this function and assign you as sub-user
to access it.

Need an up-to-date status on your shipment? Want it right away
without constantly checking with a web site? Why not just let us at
Yang Ming notify you immediately and automatically by email? Stay in
the know by simply leaving your email address and targeted container
number or B/L number on our Yang Ming web site. It's just that
simple. Once anything has occurred, you will receive a prompt and
accurate status report from Yang Ming via email automatically. Now
that's quality service, that's Yang Ming. |
Q: By what kind of information can I track a shipment?
A: Container number, Bill of lading number, Booking number, or P.O
number can be used when you track a shipment. We highly recommend
you to use container number as the first priority to do the
tracking.

Q: What should I do when it shows "Sorry, there is no data for this
container~~" on the Yang Ming web site?
A: Please ensure you have booked with Yang Ming for this shipment
first and inputted the correct number format. If still can’t find
your container, please [Contact us] with your number.

Q: How can I locate the Lloyd's Code for the targeted vessel?
A: There are two ways to obtain vessel Lloyd’s code. First one is
clicking [YM Service] on the left side of YM web page, then clicking
[Fleet] to choose your targeted vessel. Second one is clicking
[Vessel Tracking][Search by Vessel] to find out the preferred
vessel, then clicking vessel name, you will find the Lloyd’s code
for the vessel.

Q: Why are some vessels not available on the Yang Ming web site?
A: Actually, all vessels of Yang Ming and partners are available on
the Yang Ming web site. If negative, please [Contact us].

Q: What are the differences among "planned", "estimate" and "actual"
status?
A: "Planned" means the vessel data derives from Long-term Schedule
that was planned 3 – 6 months ago.
Estimated means the vessel data comes from the latest Schedule which
is almost actual.
Actual means the vessel data comes from real vessel
arrival/departure time.

Q: How can I get an ID and Password?
A: Choose E-Service -> Tariff and click on register now. Fill out
the mandatory information, then press "Submit". Your requested ID
and Password would be activated automatically and immediately, and
you will be ready to access this function.

Q: Is this function suitable for all areas?
A: No. You can access our tariffs information ONLY for shipments
from/to the United States, namely, Transpacific and Transatlantic.

Q: Where can I find the contact information for YM worldwide agents?

you will find all agents/offices in this country.

Q: Do all Yang Ming’s E-service functions require ID/PW?
A: Not all of Yang Ming’s E-service functions require ID/PW. For
Booking, BL Instruction, BL Proof, BL Print, Shipment Control, you
need to register first. You can find the "Register" button under
member login-in. After receiving your registration, we will inform
you of the result within certain working days.

Q: If I need to change the previous registration data, for example, update specific function, what should I do?
A: Please log in with the assigned ID/PW first, then click "Change Register" button to revise old registration data. After receiving your modified registration for e-service functions, we will inform you of the result within certain working days.

Q: How can I change my password assigned from Yang Ming?
A: Please log in with the assigned ID/PW first, then click "Change Password" button to process. However, the assigned user ID is not allowed to modify.
